The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has directed the government to consider and decide in three months rehabilitation issue of villagers affected by the Kishanganga hydroelectric power project in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. “The cabinet sub-committee or the delegated authority may hear the grievance of the displace families. At least seven persons died after a Beacon vehicle carrying labourers met with an accident in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday. Five bodies were recovered from the site of the accident in Tragbal late last night. The vehicle was on its way to Bandipora from Gurez when the accident took place.
