Mumbai City FC grabs Mehraj ud Din Wadoo for Rs 43 lakh: ISL Player Draft

Mumbai City FC grabbed footballer Mehraj ud Din Wadoo for a base price of Rs 43 lakhs in the Indian Super League (ISL) players draft held on Sunday.
ISL draft saw the signing of more than 100 players from the total available 205 players. Big names like Eugeneson Lyngdoh and Anas Edathodika were roped in right after the commencement of the draft, while the likes of Robin Singh and Jackichand Singh had to wait a while to have their names on the books of ISL clubs. The players picked included experienced Kashmiri defender Mehraj ud Din Wadoo.

At the end of it all, the ten ISL teams have their squad spine sorted until the big foreign signings come round. Mumbai City FC is owned by bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor.
Welcoming Wadoo into team, Mumbai City FC twitter handle tweeted, “A strong tackler of the ball and an experienced campaigner, Mehrajuddin Wadoo is a key addition to our team. Experienced veteran defender makes our backline stronger and meaner this season”.
Wadoo for last three seasons played for Channyin FC and was successful in his stint with the team. He was crucial in Chennyin’s title triumph in 2015. Even last year he was among the top domestic defenders in the league.
