CM earmarks 100 crore for heritage tourism promotion in Shaher-e-Khaas

Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today said the Government will create productive infrastructure in the tourism sector in Shaher-e-Khaas to promote the historic Old City of Srinagar as a cherished religious and heritage tourism destination. The Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) has demolished some dividers and traffic lights on the Canal Road to get the flyover work on track, which was halted due to repair work of the fourth bridge. Security forces on Tuesday shot dead a top Hizbul Mujahideen militant in Jammu and Kashmir, triggering violent protests in Sopore to which he belonged.
