Scores of Kashmiri students Monday alleged that police in Punjab used force to break up their demonstration against various Chandigarh colleges. The flood affected in Srinagar city which was the worst hit  last year have been doled out  Rs 97.48 crore by the government. The documents prepared by the office of District Magistrate Srinagar reveal that 40 deaths took place due to floods in the district with families having been given ex-gratia of Rs 60 lakhs.
