Kashmir's Stray Dog Problem: JKPC Leader Calls for Urgent Measures

JKPC Leader Calls for Action on Kashmir’s Stray Dog Crisis

Youth JKPC President Mudasir Karim has highlighted the growing concern of stray dogs in Kashmir, which has turned life into a nightmare for residents. The situation is alarming, with aggressive canines roaming freely, threatening children, women, and morning walkers ¹. Simple pleasures like taking a stroll in downtown Srinagar have become daunting challenges due to the presence of these stray dogs.

President Karim emphasized that sterilization efforts have failed, leaving residents terrified and demanding immediate action. The fear is palpable, especially at night, when solitude is unthinkable due to these stray dogs, which seem more sacred than human life.

The authorities must intervene and take effective measures to safeguard Kashmir’s residents. President Karim urged the authorities to prioritize the well-being of Kashmir’s residents, ensuring their right to safe and peaceful living conditions. “We demand action, not assurances,” he concluded.
