Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh’s recent statement that the Hurriyat may be taken on board to resolve the Kashmir issue has drawn flak from various organisations.
“The day is fast approaching when it will be the saffron party in the state, backed by the RSS and supported by the NDA government in New Delhi will invite Pakistan to settle Jammu and Kashmir issue,” said Hari Om, chairman, Jammu for India.
“It is strange that so-called mainstream Kashmiri leaders know what their fate would be if Kashmir becomes Pakistan, but still they are backing Pakistan. The worst part is the support the Kashmir leadership has been getting from the RSS-BJP combine to the gameplan that seeks to dismember India and destroy six lakh non-Muslim population in the state like the Congress did in 1947 to destroy the Hindus in Lahore and other parts of Pakistan,” said Hari Om .
Panun Kashmir chairman Ajay Chrungoo also echoed similar views. He said the BJP and RSS playing a very duplicitous role. “On the one hand they are trying to promise that there will be no third party mediation and nothing outside the Constitution would be done, but on the hand they stand committed in Kashmir through the Agenda of Alliance to talk to separatists as well as Pakistan,” he said.
