Feeling concerned and alarmed over the growing incidents of domestic violence against women by in-laws in the Valley, Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today called for boycotting the households demanding dowry and abetting married women to suicide. The call by Mirwaiz comes days after a woman in downtown Srinagar set herself on fire after alleged harassment by her in-laws. The woman succumbed to her burn injuries on September 28.
