Jhelum continues to swell, Majority of roads waterlogged across Valley, Air traffic resumes, Gauge Reading at 5 PM

Water levels in Jhelum have reached near the “flood declaration level”, official said today.
Majority of the road in Kashmir valley have been waterlogged due to incessant rain since yesterday and snowfall from early this morning paralysing normal life.
Meanwhile, people living near Jhelum have been asked to remain cautious as the water level in the river is on the rise while the residents living in low-lying areas allege that their houses and roads are submerged in rain water.
The authorities have already closed all education institutes till April 9 while universities have postponed examinations due to bad weather.
Valley also received fresh moderate to heavy snowfall and rain, resulting in considerable dip in the maximum and minimum temperatures.
World-famous ski resort of Gulmarg was the coldest place in the region at minus 3.
Meanwhile, Air traffic resumed this afternoon Sheikh-ul-Aalam Srinagar International Airport following improvement in the visibility despite intermittent rain.
