PDP blames National Conference, Congress for people’s sufferings

Holding the National Conference and the Congress responsible for political instability and people’s sufferings, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hoped that the voters will once again give their verdict against them.
A party spokesman said generations had suffered because of the unholy designs of the NC and the Congress.
“The desperation of the two parties is visible in their fresh accord. It is the NC and the Congress which have alienated Jammat-e-Islamia, Peoples Conference, Awami Action Committee and others who were once a part of the election process. Both parties should be held accountable for this political error which has ever since left a trail of destruction behind and the state continues to reel under violence and instability,” the spokesman said after a party meeting in Srinagar.
The party’s candidate from the Srinagar parliamentary constituency, Nazir Ahmad Khan, said the PDP deserved a chance to take the course correction to its logical conclusion.
He said the emergence of the PDP was a historical necessity and the destructive forces, like the NC and the Congress, have become jittery and were bent upon continuing the uncertainty which they have historically thrived upon.
Saying the PDP represented the aspirations of the common masses, he said once voted to Parliament, he would voice people’s needs and demands. “It is only the PDP that has the potential and capability to clear the mess created by the NC and the Congress over the years,” he said. He made a fervent appeal for the people’s love and support which he said was important to take the state out of the present morass.
