Ink and mobil oil were thrown on Engineer Rashid, an independent lawmaker from Jammu & Kashmir, at the Press Club in Delhi on Monday, days after he hosted a ‘beef party’. This was the second attack on the MLA within a fortnight. The attack took place when the MLA was addressing a news conference in the capital. Rains and Snowfall in Kashmir Valley

Many areas in higher reaches of Kashmir Valley on Monday received fresh snowfall while the plains, including Srinagar, experienced rains, with the Meteorological Department here predicting more showers over the next two days. There are reports of snowfall in the higher reaches of the Valley, including Amarnath cave shrine, Sheshnag, Panjtarni, Affarwat in Gulmarg and other areas, an official said.
