The flood affected in Srinagar city which was the worst hit  last year have been doled out  Rs 97.48 crore by the government.

Govt Releases Rs 97 Crore to Flood-Hit in SrinagarThe documents prepared by the office of District Magistrate Srinagar reveal that 40 deaths took place due to floods in the district with families having been given ex-gratia of Rs 60 lakhs.

A total of 5896 houses got fully damaged  in Srinagar including 5770 pucca houses and 126 kacha houses. For 5770 pucca houses, a total of 4328 lakhs have been sanctioned and similar;ly for 126 kacha houses, 22.1 lakh. 22937 houses have been declared severely damaged including 22847 pucca and 88 kacha house.  The district administration has released Rs 28.78 crore for pucca houses and 3.3 lakh for kacha house. The number of partially damaged houses is very high with 64, 921 houses destroyed partially including 61036 pucca and 3886 kacha houses. A sum of 23.19 crore has been sanctioned by the government for pucca houses and 89.3 lakhs for kacha houses.

Also 423 residential sheds and 2337 cowsheds got damaged for which an amount of Rs 12.69 lakh and 35.05 lakhs have been sanctioned.

SOUTH TEHSIL

This tehsil was the most affected one of the Srinagar as it lies on banks of the Jhelum river which breeched at many places and damaged everything coming in its way.

A sum of 44.98 crores has been sanctioned by the government as flood relief for this south tehsil. This tehsil starts from Barzulla and ends at Batwara. This  includes areas like Barzulla, Gangbugh, Gulab pora, Lachmanpora, Chattabal, Tashwan, Nursinggarh, KP Bagh, Gundi Chandal, Aram Wari, Zadibal, Habba Kadal, Maisuma, Khotibagh, Bonamsar, Sonwar, shivpora and Batwara. 28 deaths took place due to floods here whose families have been given ex-gratia of Rs 42 lakh.

A total of 3328 houses were fully damaged in this South tehsil including 3283 pucca houses and 45 kacha houses. For 3283 pucca houses, a total of 2462 lakhs have been sanctioned and similarly for 45 kacha houses, 7.92 lakh was sanctioned.  A total of 12457 houses have been declared severely damaged including 12454 pucca and 3 kacha houses and Rs 15.69 crores has been sanctioned for pucca houses and Rs 11400 for kacha houses. As many as 10970 houses were damaged partially including 10775 pucca and 195 kacha houses, while a  sum of Rs 4.09 crore  has been sanctioned by the government for pucca houses and 4.4 lakhs for kacha houses.

 

CENTRAL TEHSIL

A total of 21.9 crores have been sanctioned by the government for the flood victims of central tehsil of Srinagar. It is  second on list of worst affected areas of the Srinagar district after south Tehsil and starts  right from Batamaloo upto Rambir Garh and comprises areas  like Batamaloo, Rakhi Gund Aksha, Bagi Nand Singh, Ram Pora, Aram Pora, Qamarwari, Barthana, Chawani Badamsingh, Parimpora, Khushipora, Zainakote, Shalteng, Mujgund, Malroo, Lawaypora, Gundi Hassibhat, Panzinara, Pratap Garh and Rambir Garh. In the tehsil, 3 deaths took place due to floods and  families have been given ex-gratia of Rs 4.5 lakh.

A total of 920 houses have got fully damaged in the tehsil including 912 pucca houses and 8 kacha houses. For 912 pucca houses, a total of 6.84 crore  have been sanctioned and similarly for 8 kacha houses, 1.4 lakh was disbursed. 3879 houses have been declared severely damaged including 3878 pucca and 1 kacha house. A total of 4.8 crore  has  been sanctioned for pucca houses and Rs 3800 for the kacha house. The number of partially damaged houses stood at 26, 545 houses  including 25554 pucca and 991 kacha houses. A sum of 9.7 crore has been sanctioned by the government for pucca houses and 22.7 lakhs for kacha houses.

In the tehsil 24 residential sheds and 1312 cowsheds got damaged, for which an amount of Rs  72000 and 19.6 lakhs was sanctioned.

 

NORTH TEHSIL

A total of 10.1 crore  has  been sanctioned by the government for the flood victims of North tehsil of Srinagar. The tehsil is third on list of worst affected areas of the Srinagar and starts from Nandpora and stretches upto Fakir Gojri. This includes areas like Nandpora, Sadribal, Hakbak Khushi, Habak Shanpora, Gawmarg, Gupth Ganga, Banigam, Shalimar, Pazwalpora, Baghi Chand pora, Teilbal, Gund Teilbal, Batapora, Wanihama Payeen, Gasoo, Inderhama, Burzhama, Murinder Bagh, Chandpora, Harwan, Haripora Harwan, Mulnar, Mufti Bagh, Syed pora Bala, Danihama, Ahal, Chatterhama, Khimber, Takiya Sang reshi, Dara and Fakir Gojri. As per the official documents 2 deaths took place due to floods and  families have been given ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakhs.

A total of 785 houses got fully damaged  including 741 pucca houses and 44 kacha houses. For 741 pucca houses, a total of 5.5 crore has been sanctioned and for 44 kacha houses, 7.7 lakh was released. 2955 houses have been declared severely damaged including 2936 pucca and 19 kacha houses. A total of 3.6 crore have been sanctioned for pucca houses and 72000 for kacha houses. The number of partially damaged houses was 2180  including 1311 pucca and 869 kacha houses. A sum of 49.9 lakh  has been sanctioned by the government for pucca houses and 19.9 lakhs for kacha houses. In the tehsil 185 residential sheds were damaged and  172 cowsheds were destroyed for which an amount of 5.5 lakh and 2.5 lakh was  sanctioned respectively.

 

CHANAPORA/NATIPORA TEHSIL

A total of 6.4 crore  has  been sanctioned by the government for the flood victims of this tehsil, which starts right from Mehjoor Nagar and stretches upto Rawalpora. It includes area of Mehjoor Nagar, Nowgam, Natipora, Baghati Barzulla, Lalo Shingari bagh, Baghi Mehtab, Hyderpora and Rawalpora.

As per the official documents six deaths took place due to floods in this tehsil whose families have been given ex-gratia of Rs 9 lakh. A total of 187 houses got fully damaged including 186 pucca houses.  For 186 pucca houses, a total of 1.3 crore have been sanctioned, while 352 pucca houses have been declared severely damaged. A total of 44.352 lakhs have been sanctioned for pucca houses. 11985 houses have damaged partially including 11933 pucca and 52 kacha houses. A sum of 4.53454 crore has been sanctioned by the government for pucca houses and 1.1 lakhs for kacha houses.

KHANYAR TEHSIL

A total of 6.16 crore have been sanctioned by the government for the flood victims of this tehsil of Srinagar.

This Tehsil starts right from Buchwara upto Nishat Bagh. This  includes areas like Buchwara, Nowpora, Brari Nambal, SR Gunj, Sangeen Darwaza, Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, Abhikar pora, Gupkar, Zethair, Asthal, Chasmashahi, Darbagh, Theed, Nopora, Lam, Brein, Baghi Hussain and Nishat Bagh .

As per the official documents 1 death took place due to floods in the tehsil whose family has been given ex-gratia of Rs 1.5 lakh.

A total of 268 houses have got fully damaged  in the tehsil including 253 pucca houses and 15 kacha houses. For 268 pucca houses, a total of 1.8 crore was sanctioned and  for 15 kaccha houses, 2.6 lakh was disbursed. 1344 houses have been declared severely damaged including 1287 pucca and 51 kacha houses and a total of 1.6 crore have been sanctioned for pucca houses and 1.9 lakh for kacha house. 7123 houses have damaged partially including 5941 pucca and 1182 kacha houses. A sum of 2.2 crore has been sanctioned by the government for pucca houses and 27.1 lakhs for kacha houses.

 

PANTHA CHOWK TEHSIL

A total of 4.8 crore have been sanctioned by the government for the flood victims of this tehsil of Srinagar, which starts right from Badamibagh and stretches upto Khanmoh. This  includes areas like Badamibagh, Pandrethen, Soiteng, Lasjan, Pantha Chowk, Zewan, Sempora, Ichnambal, Zawora, Balhama, and Khanmoh . No death  took place due to floods. A total of 337 houses have got fully damaged status in this tehsil including 332 pucca houses and 5 kacha houses. For 332 pucca houses, a total of 2.49 crore have been sanctioned and similarly for 5 kacha houses, Rs 88000.

1264 houses have been declared severely damaged including 1260 pucca and 4 kacha housee. A total of 1.5 crore have been sanctioned for pucca houses and 15200 for kacha house.

1776 houses have damaged partially including 1557 pucca and 219 kacha houses. A sum of 59.16 lakhs has been sanctioned by the government for pucca houses and 15200  for kacha houses.

EIDGAH TEHSIL

A total of 2.9 crore have been sanctioned by the government for the flood victims of this tehsil of Srinagar. This Tehsil starts right from Nawa Kadal to Syedpora Humchi. This  includes areas like Nawa Kadal, NoorBagh, Bagwan Pora, Nayak pora, Eidgah, Chandihar, rathpora, Gagerzoo, Palpora, Goripora, Kreshbal, Bakhshipora TengporaTakan Waripora, Badiwadar, Baghilal pandith, Dedmari bagh, Sangam, Saidpora Achan, Zoonimar, Ontha Bhawan, Buchpora, Anchar, Baghati Shoora, Umerhair, Devi pora, Zakoora, Gulab Bagh, Rakhi Zakoora and Syedpora Humchi. As per the official documents  no death took place due to floods. A total of 71 houses have got fully damaged status in this tehsil including 63 pucca houses and 8 kacha houses. For 52 pucca houses, a total of 47.5 lakhs have been sanctioned and similarly for 8 kacha houses, 1.4 lakh. 1264 houses have been declared severely damaged including 1260 pucca and 4 kacha housee. A total of 1.5 crore have been sanctioned for pucca houses and 15200 for kacha house. 690 houses have got damaged partially including 680 pucca and 10 kacha houses and a sum of Rs 85.68 lakh has been sanctioned by the government for pucca houses and 38000 for kacha houses.
