Book to promote tourism in Kargil released by CEC LAHDC

The Dream Land -a book written by noted tourism expert Mohammed Hamza was released by Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil, yesterday.
Book to promote tourism in Kargil released by CEC LAHDCThe book release ceremony was held at Auditorium Hall Kargil, where among others, Executive Councilor Aga Syed Abass Rizvi, Councilor Ghulam Rasool Nagvi, Assistant Director Tourism Syed Mohammad Taha , Author and Poet Sadiq Ali Sadiq , Shina Poet Ahmed Jawan and Raza Amjad Budgami were present .
The book provides information about tourist destinations and cultures existing in Kargil district of Ladakh region.
During the book release ceremony, speaking to the gathering Ghulam Rasool Nagvi said, “Unfortunately, State and Center are not co-operative to promote tourism in Kargil”.
Accusing all political parties including his own (National Conference) “for not working towards developing Kargil district”  said, “They have always “discriminated” against Kargil in terms of development, while Leh was always favorite place for both State and Center.”
Prominent Balti Poet Sadiq Ali Sadiq said, “I am very glad to see this book, because we had no tourism related book about Kargil before.  Now this book will help the tourists coming from outside to understand Kargil.”
Chief Executive Councilor Haji Haneefa said, “I extend my best wishes to the writer.  We are also very much serious about the tourism in Kargil”.
Speaking to gathering Mohammad Hamza said, “The book is in English and it will help tourists to understand Kargil. This is the first addition and I hope I will be able to continue this job in future too.’’
He further said, “I have seen various places in India, Nepal and Sri-Lanka. Kargil has very high potential in tourism sector. But unfortunately it has not been explored yet”.
