NPP pulls up Mufti Govt, calls for President’s rule in J&K

National Panthers Party (NPP) chief Bhim Singh on Sunday accused the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed-led Jammu and Kashmir Government of helping the infiltrators and terrorists, saying the only way to get rid of the prevailing situation would be to impose Governor’s rule in the state.

Singh said many BSF jawans, army and police personnel have been martyred by the intruding infiltrators and terrorists since the new government has taken charge in the state.

“Can they come without the assistance of the local police? Ruling parties like National Conference and PDP are helping these intruders and infiltrators to come over. How can they (infiltrators) locate the army locations? How can they find where army is stationed?” Singh asked.

“Our country is under threat. Jammu and Kashmir Government has become a security threat.

The only way-out is the Governor`s rule and handover the defense places, including the highway in the interest of the safety of the people, to the army. these incidents should be handed over to military intelligence so that the nation and the central government receives correct information,” he added.

The security forces and the militants, who infiltrated last night, are presently engaged in a gun battle in Keran Sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.Three people, including an Army trooper and two militants, have been killed in the encounter.
