Suspected militants hurled a grenade towards a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker in old city on Thursday morning. The hand grenade, which missed the target, was lobbed towards a bunker of 161 Battalion located in Srinagar’s Sakidafar area around 11:15 am. “The grenade exploded on the road damaging two civilian vehicles,” CRPF spokesman Ashish Jha said. “No one was injured in the blast.” After the attack, the police and the CRPF carried out searches in the area to trace the militants involved in the grenade attack.
