16 candidates attend AFC ‘C’ Licence Coaches Course

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) ‘C’ Licence Coaches Course was conducted under the orders of All India Football Federation at Srinagar from 23rd October to 4th November 2015 in which 16 eligible candidates attended the course. 9 were from J&K & 7 from outside the state. Mariano Dias, Instructor for AF C-License Course , from Goa was deputed by AIFF as its Instructor-cum Examiner. Professional cyclists, students from various schools and colleges participated in a cycling event held on the banks of the Dal Lake on Sunday. City boy wins bronze medal in U-14 skating

Raghav Gupta, a student of MHAC School, Nagbani, bagged a bronze medal in the recently concluded under-14 North Zone Skating Championship organised by the CBSE. He clinched the bronze medal in 1,000-metre inline time trial. School principal Alok Betab congratulated Raghav for winning the medal. Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Youth Services and Sports Molvi Imran Raza Ansari said on Tuesday the valley will host an international rugby championship next year. “Kashmir valley will host South Asian Rugby 7’S Championship in 2016,” Ansari said while chairing the 131st Standing Committee meeting of J-K State Sports Council.
