Massive pro-freedom rallies and protests were held in South Kashmir’s Kulgam and Islamabad on Friday soon after mandatory congregational prayers. Reports and eye witnesses said that in Shangus, hundreds of people held protest rally after Friday prayers in Islamabad District. The rally, reports said, was taken out from Jamia Masjid Shangus up to main market. Baramulla again under siege, scores of youth arrested

At least three youths are believed to have been arrested so far in a search operation launched earlier today in Old town area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. This is the second such operation in the area during this week.
