Seven dead, several injured in Reasi road accident

Seven persons including two minors died and three others were injured in a road accident in Reasi district of Jammu late last night. An official said an overloaded car, bearing registration number JK02H 1515 skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Damasgali Bhomag last night, leaving seven persons dead and three others injured. At least 11 passengers died and nineteen others were injured, five of them critically, in a road accident in Mandi tehsil of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. An official said that a passenger bus (registration number JK02W0445) heading towards Poonch from Loran skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Plera around 9:15 am. The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday announced winter vacations in Kashmir division and winter zone of Jammu division. According to an order issued today, winter vacations for classes up to eighth standard shall be observed from December 6, 2018 to 2nd March 2019. “Winter vacations for classes from 9th standard on wards shall be observed from 17 December 2018 to 23 February 2019,” said the order.
