A group of heavily armed terrorists attacked a police party in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, killing one policeman on the spot. According to ANI, the policeman lost his life after terrorists attacked a police party near bus stand in Anantnag. The fresh attack comes days after a police party was attacked by militants in the Thajiwar area of Achabal, Anantnag in which six policemen, including Station House Officer Feroz Ahmad Dar, were killed. Terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba had claimed responsibility for the previous attack. More details are awaited.
