BJP to review report card of party ministers in Mufti govt

The BJP high command has asked its state unit to prepare a comprehensive report card of the 10-month performance of the previous coalition government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Dredging from Jhelum, spill channel outsourced

The Irrigation and Flood Control (IFC) Department, Kashmir, has outsourced dredging from the Jhelum and its spill channel to a private company, which is expected to begin the work later this week. The department is aiming to reach a target of dredging eight lakh cubic metres of debris from the river by the end of March. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has agreed to vacate the airbase at Leh district which will be used for expansion of the civilian airport by the Jammu and Kashmir government.
