The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) to a non-state subject in Jammu division.
The PRC has been issued by Deputy Commissioner office Jammu in 2010 to Jai Karan Singh Chib son of Ratan Singh, who is originally a resident of Nurpur area of Himachal Pradesh.
Chib, according to sources, is working as constable in paramilitary force SSB and has been given employment as Himachal Pradesh resident.
Sources said that Chib, has married a girl from Sherkhanian and got settled in Jammu in 2005 and has been living in Jammu.
Jai Karan has also built house at Subash Nagar despite being a non-state subject.
Meanwhile, Karen Singh, a resident of Top Sherkhanian, has sought thorough investigation into the matter. He has filed complaint before CM’s grievance cell, DGP J&K, Vigilance Commissioner and IGP (Crime).
Sigh has alleged that the incident is aimed at changing the demographic profile of J&K. He has also alleged that Chib, in convince with two persons, Narendera Singh and Ramesh Chandra Singh, has managed PRC for non-state subject.
He has alleged that Narendera is working in CID wing of JK Police as constable and is facing numerous departmental inquires and was once recommended for termination from services.
“May justice be served upon the genuine inhabitants of state of J&K and check the culprits who are involved in all these misdeeds including those belonging to police, who, by using their position, are involved in such acts,” Singh has said.
