Jammu district has reported the highest number of casualties, injuries and accidents in the state in the past three years. The state has witnessed 2,666 deaths and 22,021 injuries in 15,996 road accidents in the past three years. The data was released by the Minister in charge of Transport in the Legislative Council on Thursday. The data gave the district-wise number of road accidents and persons killed or injured in the state from 2015 to October 2017.
