The joint resistance leadership on Tuesday withdrew the shutdown call issued for south Kashmir after the deferment of Anantnag by-poll, said a spokesman. The leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had earlier called for shutdown in south Kashmir areas where polling was set to take place tomorrow. “Tomorrow’s strike call has been withdrawn,” said the spokesman.
