Checking, Frisking intensified in Kashmir ahead of PM Modi’s visit

A massive security blanket has been thrown across Kashmir to prevent any untoward incident during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s November 7 visit to the valley. Frisking operations have been intensified with police, army and paramilitary forces erecting barricades on highways and all the entry and exit points of the summer capital Srinagar where Modi will address a rally. Reports and witnesses said that motorists and pedestrians are being stopped at the barricades and asked to prove their identity.
