Clashes erupt in Srinagar’s old City

Massive protests erupted in old Srinagar areas on Tuesday soon after the curfew was lifted after 17 days. Local sources said that police and para-military personnel used tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters who were raising anti-India slogans. They said that as soon as curfew was lifted in the old city areas people came on roads and alleged that men in uniform have smashed hundreds of residential houses and parked vehicles during last 16 days of curfew.
