Protests erupted in Sumbal after an army vehicle hit a car, killing a civilian on spot near Wangipora on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Mir of Ganderbal. His car was hit by Army’s Casper vehicle near Wangipora area of Sumbal while he was on way to Ganderbal. Soon after the incident, residents of Sumbal took to streets and tried to set ablaze the army vehicle.
