The Union Home Ministry has removed Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) from Meghalaya and reduced it to eight police stations in Arunachal Pradesh, an official said on Monday. “AFSPA was totally withdrawn from all areas of Meghalaya from April 1.
