Admin to organise cricket tournaments between Jammu and Kashmir

In order to boost the sports scenario in the state, an inaugural friendly cricket tournament will be played between the Jammu and Kashmir divisions soon. The series will consist of three matches and it will be a starter for bigger cricket series later to be played between the teams of all the deputy commissioners under the respective Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir. Two vital departments of the state are involved in a tussle over two sports facilities, Water Sports Centre Nehru Park and Gindun Multi Sports facility. The departments which include Sports Council, Youth Services want the Gindum and the Nehru park Sports Centre under their control.
