The Vigilance Organisation Kashmir (VOK) has registered a case against two officers of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) for allowing an illegal construction of a commercial complex in a residential area. The district may soon get a ring road which will provide an alternate route for the traffic moving between North and South Kashmir and ease the traffic congestion inside the city. Protests and minor clash erupted in Srinagar’s old city today. Sources said that a group of youth staged a protest march after Friday’s congregational prayers at Nowhatta.
