Professor Bhim Singh was expelled from the party he had founded for taking part in a meeting of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) at the Bhatindi residence of former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah. One person has died after an under-construction tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district caved in Thursday night. Nine others are still trapped. The dead man was from West Bengal, deputy commissioner Mussarat Islam said, adding that of those still trapped, four more were from that state. Four persons were charred to death and 24 others suffered burn injuries when a passenger bus, carrying Vaishnodevi pilgrims, mysteriously caught fire on Katra-Jammu road on Friday.
