Cold wave conditions continued to sweep across northern India on Tuesday. Several flights and trains were cancelled in Delhi, while dense fog continued to shroud many places in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Censor Board clears ‘Padmavati’ with cuts, wants title changed

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has suggested few modifications in the controversial movie ‘Padmavati’, which include changing of the film’s title to ‘Padmavat’, after which it would be given a U/A certificate. The decision came after an examining committee meeting by CBFC was held on December 28. More than eight fire tenders, five water tankers, emergency ambulance and police rushed to the spot for rescue operation. At least 14 people died and several were injured when a major fire broke out at a building in Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel late on Thursday night.
