The police, on Thursday, arrested three men for allegedly assaulting a 22-year-old Muslim man, keeping him hostage and chopping off his beard in Khandsa earlier this week. The accused also allegedly called the complainant “Pakistani”, the police said. A video of the incident was also circulated on the social media. The names of around 40 lakh of 3.29 crore applicants were missing from the Supreme-Court mandated final draft of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) released on Monday.
