Militant attack in Anantnag leaves Cop Injured

A policeman was injured after terrorists opened fire at security forces in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, officials said. Terrorists attacked a security forces’ party in the Bijbehara area of the south Kashmir district in the evening, they said. The officials said a policeman received minor injuries while taking cover, adding he was shifted to a hospital. The area has been cordoned off and a hunt launched to nab the attackers, they said.

Stray dog attack leaves seven injured in Baramulla

At least seven persons were injured after stray dogs attacked them in Minzgam Boniyar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Reports said that a pack of stray dogs attacked and injured at least seven persons including two children. They have been evacuated to Government Medical College Baramulla for treatment. A civilian was shot at and injured by suspected militants in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening. Aqib Ahmad Dar was attacked by militants outside his house at Zafarpora village in Bijbehara sub-district in Anantnag. “Terrorists fired upon and injured a civilian identified as Aqib Ahmad Dar,” a police spokesperson said.
