Scheduled Power Cuts Across Kashmir Division for Infrastructure Upgrades
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Department has announced a series of scheduled power outages across various districts over the coming days to facilitate infrastructure upgrades, conductor reconductoring, maintenance work, and tree pruning. These planned outages are essential for ensuring long-term stability and efficiency in power supply, though they may temporarily impact several areas. Here are the details of the affected areas and dates:
Pulwama District
November 11, 13, 18, 20, and 23 (10:00 AM to 4:30 PM): Power supply to Pulwama, Pinglena, MM Flour Mill, Covid Hospital, and Tenghar grid stations will be disrupted due to the construction of the 33 KV Lassipora-Pulwama line (Phase II) and other related projects.
November 10 (10:00 AM to 4:30 PM): Installation of the 33 KV SIDCO Line will cause power interruptions to the feeding receiving stations in Pulwama.
Pampore-Pulwama Line and Surrounding Areas
November 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, and 21 (10:00 AM to 4:30 PM): Areas including Newa, Kakapora, LIS Marvel I-IV, Gadoora, Nehama, Zadoora, Narbal, Parigam, and Pahoo will experience outages due to work on the 33 KV Pampore-Pulwama line.
Awantipora Airfield
November 10, 13, 14, 16, and 17 (9:00 AM to 4:30 PM): Augmentation work on the 33 KV Awantipora Airfield line will affect power supply to the Airfield and Quil LIS Stage 1st.
Beerwa and Surrounding Areas
November 11 and 13 (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM): Maintenance and branch cutting work will lead to power interruptions in Sail, Gondipora, Old Beerwa, Arwah, Najan, Chewdara, Beerwa Town, Sonpah, Hospital Zainigam, Doodhpathry, Khag, and Arizal
Batmaloo and Surrounding Areas
November 11 (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM): Power supply to Danderkha, Exhibition, Batmaloo, Gangbugh, Naraka, Allochibagh, and Rambagh will be disrupted for pole installation related to the GIS Tengpora Grid.
Ahmad Nagar and Surrounding Areas
November 11, 16, and 20 (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM): Reconductoring work on the 33 KV Alusteng Zakura Line will affect power supply to Ahmad Nagar, Umerhair, and parts of Buchpora.
Khanyar-Rainawari Line
November 11, 13, and 17 (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM): Areas including Miskeen Bagh, Rozabal, Maqdoom Sahab, Hazari Bagh, Jogilankar, JLNM Hospital, Kondabal, Hasnabad, Palpora, Sangam, Islamia College, Narwara, and Zadibal will face outages due to reconductoring on the 33 KV Khanyar Rainawari Line.
Soura and Nearby Areas
November 13 (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM): Shifting of a 33 KV line near Arwa Bridge will disrupt power supply to Soura, Zoonimar, Buchpora, Anchar, Nowshera, and parts of 90 ft road.
TRC and Sonwar Regions
November 12 (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM): Maintenance work will affect power to receiving stations TRC (F1, F4, F5, F6) and Sonwar (F4), as well as nearby areas like CD Hospital, Gupkar, Dal, Radio Kashmir.
November 11 (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM): Brein, Tulip Garden, Brein Phallo, Taj Vivanta, Brein Market, Pathanbagh, Nishat, Ishber, Chandpora, Harwan, and Darbagh will face power cuts due to tree pruning and maintenance.
Mammer, Wangath, and Surrounding Areas
November 11 (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM): Outages in Mammer, Wangath, Kangan, Akhal, and Babanagri for painting and other maintenance works on the 33 KV Gantry.
Bandipora Region
November 11 to 13 (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM): Branch cutting will affect areas Malangam, Quil, PHE, Aloosa, District Police Line, Town, Arin, Panzigam, Ajar, Nursoo, Naidhal, Ajas, Garoora, Papchan, Nishat, Argam across different days.
Nihalpora-Markundal Line
November 11 and 14 (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM): Aglar, Naidkhai, Shahgund, Nihalpora, Markundal, Sumbal, and surrounding areas will experience outages for reconductoring work.
Air Force Line (Friends Enclave, Humhama, Peerbagh, Airport Nadroo)
November 11 (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM): Maintenance work on the 33 KV Air Force Line will lead to outages in Friends Enclave, Humhama, Peerbagh, and nearby areas.
Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance to manage during these power outages. The Power Department appreciates the public’s cooperation as these projects are aimed at strengthening the overall power infrastructure in the region.
