Over 3.1 Lakh Voters in Doda District: 534 Polling Stations Ready for Assembly Polls

Doda district has recorded a total of 3,10,586 registered voters — 1,60,057 males, 1,50,521 females and eight transgender voters — across its three Assembly constituencies of Bhaderwah, Doda and Doda West.

In a bid to ensure that every registered voter has the opportunity to participate in the electoral process, a total of 534 polling stations have been designated for the three Assembly segments in the district.

With a total of 1,24,568 registered voters, Bhaderwah emerged as the largest constituency within the district. It has 63,944 male voters, 60,618 females, and six transgender voters.

The administration is hoping to facilitate comprehensive electoral coverage with a total of 196 polling stations in the Bhaderwah constituency.

The Doda Assembly constituency has registered 98,582 voters. Of these, 50,546 are male voters, 48,034 are females, and two are transgender voters. A total of 171 polling stations have been allocated to serve this constituency.

Of the 87,436 voters registered in Doda West, 45,567 are male voters and 41,869 are female voters. As many as 167 polling stations have been designated for this Assembly constituency.

“As the J&K Assembly Elections-2024 approach, Doda district stands ready to contribute to the democratic process with full vigour,” an official said.

The district was prepared to manage the voting process with precision and accessibility. The detailed voter registration figures also highlight the district’s commitment to a fair and transparent election, the official added.
