Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to face a major setback in Kashmir Valley as many leaders, including some prominent faces, are actively considering their resignation from the party’s basic membership, reliable sources said.
They said that the development has came after a crucial meeting was held at a hotel in Srinagar few days before. “The leaders have been actively considering their decision to leave the party cadre and may announce any time soon,” they said.
An alliance on the lines of INDIA, formed by parties on national level is expected as the leaders may join other parties or form their own parties,” they said.
Amid reports of mass resignation on cards by several leaders and workers, BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina has reached to Kashmir Valley where he is going to hold a high level meeting with unhappy leaders and workers on Wednesday evening.

The leaders put forth their opinion to Koul that neither their suggestions being taken seriously nor they given key positions in the party.
The disgruntled leaders said they not only have risked their own lives but their family members as well while carrying out activities in far-off places of J&K to make BJP strong.
If sources are to be believed these leaders have discontinued their party activities and distanced themselves from taking part in party functions since disagreements took place. They said the matter has been brought into the notice of BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina who have approached the disgruntled chunk for resolution of issues.
BJP Chief Ravinder Raina admitted the cracks within the party and said the disgruntled leaders and workers have been invited for a meeting which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday (today) evening. “I have sent invitation to dissatisfied members for a meeting and will try to resolve their issues mutually,” Raina said.
