Two NC workers shot dead, another injured in Habba Kadal

Two National Conference (NC) workers were shot dead and another injured after unknown gunmen fired at them in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar on Friday. SSP Srinagar Imtiyaz Ismail confirmed the deaths of two NC workers in the firing incident. Reports said that unknown gunmen fired at three NC workers in Karfalli Mohalla today morning, leaving them injured. They said that the injured were rushed to SMHS hospital where two of them succumbed. An official said the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

Petrol and Diesel prices in Jammu and Kashmir have been slashed by Rs 5 per litre, the state government said Thursday. “The state government this evening announced matching cut of Rs 2.50 per litre in fuel prices commensurate with the price cut of Rs 2.50, announced by the central government earlier today,” an official spokesman said.
