Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha chief asks youth to strengthen BJP in Valley

On her maiden visit to the Valley, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) national president and MP Poonam Mahajan asked the youth to join the BJP and strengthen the party in the Valley.
“India’s future is sitting here… despite hardships and tough circumstances, Kashmiri youth didn’t lose hope and they want to live with India for prosperity. It is our duty to carry forward the youth of Kashmir… our hearts are also open to support Kashmiri,” Poonam said while addressing a rally at the Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium.
Expressing happiness that a good number of people were present at the rally, she said: “The massive gathering here indicates that the youth of Kashmir want to carry the mission of peace and prosperity initiated by the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Lotus is in full bloom in Kashmir.”
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh said though the BJP wanted peace and friendship with Pakistan, anyone who spoke the language of gun would be responded in a similar way. “We want friendship and you must be aware that the Prime Minister went directly to Lahore from Afghanistan. This is what the BJP is. This is our government. We at the Centre and in the state want peace,” he added.
Stating that the separatists wanted chaos and terrorism to prevail in the state, he said: “We faced a lot and our government came to power at a time when situation was grim. It have been two-and-a-half years since we assumed power but we tried deliver good governance and a lot has to be done.”
