The faction of separatist amalgam Hurriyat Conference defended its chairman Syed Ali Geelani today by saying that his stand on Article 370 and GST is “unambiguous and clear”.
The separatist faction said, “They won’t budge an inch or compromise on the sacrifices laid for a sacred cause”. The Hurriyat faction was responding to a joint statement issued by senior leaders of the National Conference, who had accused Geelani of attempting to “bail out the PDP-BJP government” over the issue of extending the GST to the state.
Geelani’s faction responded by saying that the “forced occupation is the root cause of all miseries and all other side shoots will get resolved as soon as occupation comes to an end”.
“None among these pro-Indian party’s figures among lesser evil and neither we feel even an iota of difference between the NC, PDP and all other pro-Indian parties,” it said.
The separatist faction said the authorities were “trying hard to get rid of the special status of the state” by implementing the GST.
The faction said the National Conference “in their malicious bid came with their nonsense and hypocritical statement” against Geelani.
