The Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Tuesday trained its guns on the Modi government and said the terror attack on Amarnath yatris was a result of its failure to end terrorism in Kashmir in its three years of rule.
The VHP’s international working president, Praveen Togadia, demanded dismissal of the Mehbooba Mufti-led Jammu and Kashmir Government, which he alleged was a supporter of terrorism.
“Government is responsible for not finishing terror in Kashmir,” Togadia said.
“First resolve Kashmir issue and then go on as many foreign trips as you want,” Togadia, taking a swipe at Modi, said.
He demanded that Kashmir be put in custody of the armed forces.
He also lambasted Mehbooba Mufti, and said, “Because you did not take action against those who threw stones at Army there was an attack on the pilgrims,” he said.
“You lack the will to finish terrorism in Kashmir. You could finish terrorism in Punjab because you were dealing with Sikhs. You have not been able to finish terror in Kashmir because you are soft on Muslims,” Togadia said.
He also asked people of India to boycott the things made in Kashmir. “This could not have happened without the help of the Kashmiris who are throwing stones at Army,” he alleged.
“We don’t want a government which allows such attacks. Appoint a full time defence minister and tell us the reason why you are supporting Mehbooba Mufti. Remove her and give Kashmir to the Army.”
He told Modi to show courage and do carpet bombing of militants.
“Stop dealing with terrorists with rubber bullets and do carpet bombing. In one week even a ‘bachcha’ of terrorist will come out,” he said.
“The government is trying to put the blame on yatris by saying they were not registered. There is no way they could have gone on the visit without registration,” he said.
