Calling upon the government to take a decisive action against terror funding and financial support structure of separatists in the Kashmir valley, Panun Kashmir, an organisation of displaced Hindus, today urged the Central government to deal firmly with militancy.
The organisation has also demanded CBI investigation into the murder case of constable Sameer Bhat who was killed by his colleague in Srinagar recently.
Addressing a press conference, Panun Kashmir chairman Ajay Chrungoo welcomed the step taken by the NIA to investigate the financial dealings of separatists in J&K.
“Panun Kashmir has been saying that cross LoC trade is fraught with dangers of becoming a subversive mechanism to feed and fuel the terror machine and now our stand has been vindicated. India cannot afford to ignore activities like peace conclaves or statements of so-called mainstream leaders of J&K brazenly supporting the secessionist movement,” he said.
The organisation has condemned the statements of ‘peaceniks’ for fiddling with the affairs of J&K only to demoralise the security forces facing a war-like situation in the state. “We urge the Centre to realise that statements like finding a ‘permanent solution’ for Kashmir create apprehensions and doubts. There is no permanent solution to the proxy-jihadi war except its total defeat, military as well as ideologically,” Chrungoo said.
Meanwhile, Panun Kashmir convenor Agnishekher said the government should not make any compromise with terrorists and their supporters. “Minorities living n J&K which include Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Christians will not allow any compromise with the separatists elements in the Valley who are responsible for death and destruction.”
