The first batch of pilgrims for the Amarnath yatra will depart from the Jammu base camp on June 28 under tight security. All arrangements have been made by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) and the state government for the smooth conduct of the annual 40-day pilgrimage. Two militants killed in Rafiabad encounter

Two militants were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Pazalpora area of Rafiabad in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, police said. The gunfight erupted late last night after police, army and CRPF cordoned off the area after inputs about the presence of militants in the village.
