J&K Governor NN Vohra on Wednesday urged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to ensure that students’ academic interests are safeguarded.
A Raj Bhawan spokesman said Mehbooba met Vohra here and had “wide ranging discussions “which focused on maintenance of law and order and internal security, effective and accountable functioning of public delivery organizations and timely implementation of important state and central development schemes and projects.”
“The Governor particularly discussed with Mufti the vital importance of ensuring against the student community’s academic interests being adversely affected by negative factors and influences,” the spokesman said.
The Governor and the Chief Minister also discussed issues relating to the recent incidents along the Line of Control, attempts at infiltration and cease-fire.
