Army officer found killed in Shopian

An Army officer has been murdered by terrorists in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The officer, identified as Colonel Umar Fayaz Parry, who hailed from Kulgam, was kidnapped from his house and murdered by terrorists late last night.
His bullet-riddled body was found in Herman Chowk of the district.
According to the police, the officer had gone to Shopian to attend the wedding of a relative.
Further investigation into the case is on.
An army official said they were examining the circumstances in which the officer was found dead.
