One civilian killed, dozens injured one critical during clashes near encounter site in Arwani

Pellet Gun again brutalizes Kashmir, Dozens injured in Arwani South Kashmir clashes, with 30 Receiving pellet injuries, where encounter is going on.

A civilian was killed and another critically injured near the site of an encounter in Hassanpora village of Arwani in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.
Reports said the deceased was a resident of Nyaina Sangam. There were conflicting reports about his name.

Another civilian, Bilal Ahmad of Hasanpora village was critically injured. He was shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Reports and witnesses said that both the civilians were hit by bullets as they rushed towards the encounter site to help the militants escape from the area.
Over 30 people were injured in the clashes.

There was no official confirmation on the killing of militants. IGP Kashmir SJM Gilani confirmed the killing of Sangam resident. “He was hit by a stray bullet,” he told Kashmir Post.
