Normal life resumes across valley after 133 days, Air traffic remained suspended for second day

Life returned to normal in Kashmir valley on Saturday after over four months with a two-day relaxation in shutdown called by the separatist leadership.
All the shops and business establishments opened for the first time in the morning hours since the killing of Burhan Wani in an encounter with government forces on July 8.
Passenger vehicles and private cars took to roads across the valley since early morning.
At various places, students were seen heading towards schools.
The separatist leadership has called for full-day relaxation today and tomorrow in view of “pressing concerns of students and sustenance of certain segments of society greatly affected during the last four months”.

Air traffic from Srinagar International Airport remained suspended due to poor visibility for the second day Saturday.
All incoming and outgoing morning flights from the airport were cancelled as the visibility was very poor, reports quoting officials said.
They said there was no improvement in the weather since yesterday, when all incoming and outgoing flights were cancelled.
The visibility is still very poor and chances of resuming the air traffic looks bleak, they said.
