Govt using military muscle to suppress aspirations of masses: Hurriyat (G)

Hurriyat Conference (G) Wednesday said the government claiming to be elected by a democratic process is brazenly using its “military muscle” to suppress the aspirations of masses.
Commenting on the fresh search operations in Beigh Pora and Kralgund and arresting of “11 members” of a single family, Hurriyat (G) said, “The widespread arrests, irrespective of age and gender prove beyond doubt that the popular sentiment runs through the blood of each and every person here and to curb and silence these emotions, forces are hell bent upon to suppress the people and create a pseudo impression of normalcy.”
Hurriyat Conference (G) statement said, “Present establishment, at the behest of Nagpur brigade, claiming to be the custodians of peace and tranquility, shamelessly justify and legalize the subjugation by armed rule.”
Hurriyat (G) condemned the “poster campaign against the political activists in South Kashmir particularly against Mohammad Yousuf Falahi, Mir Hafizullah and others”.
Hurriyat (G) said, “Not only have their houses been ransacked but the houses of their relatives are alson being constantly raided and some of their realtives have been arrested as well.”
Hurriyat Conference (G) said that instead of facing them politically “puppet government is harassing their innocent kithsand kin to pressurize them to surrender”.
Hurriyat (G) said, “They are not fighting for their own self or for any perks and privileges but for the whole nation and people can never be cowed down by these mischievous and suppressive actions.”
Hurriyat Conference (G) said: “It has been reported that some employees are now succumbing to the pressure of their bureaucratic bosses and they hypocritically search for excuses to attend their offices, but they all should remember that traitors and opportunists have no place in a revolutionary struggle. It is high time for them to join hands with their brethren who consciously and honestly sacrifice their youth for Kashmir-cause where these so-called white collar public servants too have to nourish.”
