The National Conference today said the PDP was reluctant to form the government as it was ashamed that it had done “absolutely nothing” in the past 10 months.
“The PDP is feeling the pulse of the people and are ashamed to form the government as they know that have done absolutely nothing for 10 months,” Tanvir Sadiq, NC leader and political secretary to former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, said while addressing a youth convention in downtown Hawal, Zadibal.
In a statement issued later, the NC claimed that the PDP was divided into three groups, and all of them were only interested in assuming the chair.
“The drama about the ‘Agenda of Alliance’ being sacred is being enacted just to hoodwink people. None of it was implemented in the last 10 months. The PDP needs to explain why it surrendered these issues for 10 months and still praised the coalition,” he said.
“It has been two weeks since the people of J&K were placed under Governor’s rule because of differences within one party. That is why the only party which can lead and deliver is the National conference under Omar Abdullah.”
Sadiq said that in the past 10 months the BJP-PDP coalition could only be credited for creating communal tension and generating problems for the special status of J&K.
