Authorities have postponed the interviews of SKIMS Medical College faculty for the fifth time, leading to disappointment and anger in aspirants.

Aspirants have complained of loss of time and money and alleged that the authorities are causing mental agony and inconvenience to aspirants. A doctor who had applied for the faculty position in SKIMS Medical College said, “I had booked my tickets and accommodation for interview in Jammu. Then these were cancelled without any prior notice. This is unfair.”
A female aspirant complained that she has suffered huge monetary losses because of the cancellation of tickets for herself and a guardian that she had planned to take along to Jammu.
After Jammu interviews were cancelled, authorities decided that interviews would be conducted on Nov 20th in Srinagar. While the aspirants had applied for leave and made all necessary arrangements, to their dismay, interviews were cancelled once again.
Director SKIMS and Principal SKIMS Medical College, Dr. Showkat Ali Zargar expressed helplessness over the issue. “For the first time everything was in place and interviews were to be conducted in Jammu. But unfortunately, due to some reasons the venue had to be shifted back and now we are facing problems with experts’ dates,” he said.
