The weeklong sanitation drive of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) concluded here today.
Commissioner, SMC, Showkat Ahmed Zargar today interacted with the students of Boys Higher Secondary School in the Shutrashsi area of the city on the concluding day of the drive.
Zargar, who was the chief guest on the occasion, while addressing students emphasised, “The clean city mission seeks active participation of all particularly the youth who are the change agents and face of society.”
He urged the citizens to be “habitual of using dustbins” and throw garbage in selected garbage points. “It is the responsibility of every citizen to come forward and give a helping hand to the corporation for making Srinagar a clean and healthy city,” he added.
Secretary, SMC, Hilal Ahmed Deewani, Chief Sanitation Officer of the corporation and the Principal of Boys Higher Secondary School were also present on the occasion.
