Woman Killed, Son Injured in SSB Vehicle Accident in Rajbagh

A woman died while her son sustained injuries after a two-wheeler they were riding was hit by an SSB vehicle near Abdullah Bridge at Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Thursday evening. An official said, “A scooty was hit by an SSB vehicle in Rajbagh area of Srinagar, leaving a mother-son duo wounded.” The injured were referred to a nearby hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared the woman brought dead on arrival. A woman was killed and five others were injured in Pakistani shelling across the International Border that erupted on Saturday night and continued till Sunday morning. Ratno Devi (65) of Alla village in the Arnia sector received multiple injuries when a mortar shell landed on her house around 3 am on Sunday while she was sleeping. She was taken to Government Medical College, Jammu, where she succumbed to her injuries. Her husband Chuni Lal and daughter-in-law Rajni Devi also received injuries in the incident.
